I was a BIG fan of John Hammond for years before this album came out. I went to see him live at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, expecting awesome acoustic magic, but he came out with an electric guitar, bass player and harmonica player. Totally blew the audience away, Little did I know he had just come out with this album/5(13).

All of my Hammond records (yes, vinyl) are old and cumbersome, but I keep them for the cover photos and nostalgia. out of 5 stars great John Hammond. Reviewed in the United States on August 17, Okay, so I'm a geezer. I first came across Hammond's stuff on the "Blues at Newport" LP, found this in a record store, and wasn't just /5(10).

Lyrics to 'Tell Me Mama' by John Hammond. You thought you had found yourself a good girl, One who would love you and give you the world. Then you find, babe, that you've been misused, Come to me, honey, I'll do what you choose.
